Sleep, a precious commodity

I really miss sleeping through the night. I can’t even remember the last time I did. Surely, it was back when I was first pregnant. However, at that time, I was working for Satan himself, and hence my sleep was overcast with the dread of going to work the next morning. Thankfully that stress is gone, but it’s now been replaced with making sure my little one has enough breast milk in her tiny tummy. And then I have to get HER to sleep before I can drift off to dream land.

I’m ok with that. I may not feel that way at 4:30 in the morning when she JUST. WON’T. SLEEP… but overall, I am. I mean, I DO have THE cutest little girl ever made. Lately she’s learned new things like drooling, and using her voice to sigh–which I LOVE. I can’t wait until she can control her head, babble, reach for me… oh, yeah, and sleep through the night in her crib so I can have my husband back.

Tomorrow Julia will be 4 weeks old.

  • It’s amazing… from the front, Julia resembles Daddy – and from the site, Julia resembles Mommy. The magic of genetics!!! :-)
